This survey gives employers an effective method for selecting job applicants who are honest, reliable, and drug-free and who have a good work ethic. It assesses an applicant's attitudes and experiences relating to integrity, substance abuse, reliability, and work ethic.

The Step One Survey consists of two sections. The first section seeks information on self-reported behaviors and admissions, and generates suggested interview questions based upon the answers. The second section measures attitudes and experiences related to integrity, work ethic, reliability, and substance abuse.
